What you get with Healthy Blue

You get all of your Medicaid benefits, plus extras, through a name you know and trust.

Get the care you need from a doctor you choose. We have thousands of doctors in our plan, including many specialists.
When you have to get care in the hospital, you won’t have to pay anything. Benefits also include urgent and emergency care.
Healthy teeth are important for adults. Adults (21 and older) get dental benefits, including exams, teeth cleanings, and X-rays.
We want you to see clearly. Adults (21 and older) get vision benefits, including an annual eye exam and glasses or contacts (up to a $100 value), if needed.
We pay for prescriptions and many over-the-counter medicines. You might have a small copay up to $3. Many members (including children and pregnant women) don’t have any copays for their medicines.
Health issues come up when you least expect them. Get fast, free medical advice from a registered nurse anytime, day or night.
Earn rewards just for getting annual checkups and screenings through our Healthy Rewards program!
  • $20 for well-child visits from birth through age 15 months, up to $120 for six visits
  • $20 for well-child visits for ages 16 months to 30 months, up to $40 for two visits
  • $25 for yearly well-child visits for ages 30 months to 9 years
  • $25 for yearly adolescent well visits for ages 10 to 20 years
  • $15 for yearly adult-wellness visits
  • $25 for diabetic HgA1c screening
  • $25 for diabetic eye exam
  • $25 for getting a flu shot
  • Breastfeeding support kit

  • Family planning kit
  • Healthy Rewards maternity program — earn rewards for going to your doctor visits

Already have Medicaid?

Choose Healthy Blue as your health plan.

You can change your plan in one of these ways:

Go to the Healthy Louisiana website or get the free Healthy Louisiana mobile app

Call Healthy Louisiana at 855-229-6848, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Complete and return the enrollment form that you received in the mail.

Need health insurance?

Apply for Healthy Louisiana (Medicaid) benefits.

You may be eligible for low- or no-cost health insurance if you:

Have low income

Have a disability

Are pregnant

Have no insurance, and need breast or cervical cancer treatment

Get Social Security Income (SSI) or financial help from the Family Independence Temporary Assistance Program (FITAP)
